Integrative and Gestalt

We draw on more than one way of working, and pay attention to what is happening for you in the room, not only what happened before.

Person-centred and affirming

You are not a diagnosis to be managed. That includes affirming work around addiction recovery, ADHD and autism.

Outdoor sessions

Some conversations come more easily side by side than face to face. Walking sessions in Canterbury can be part of your therapy if they suit you.

Frequently asked questions

Clear, practical answers about starting therapy, fees, location, and our approach in Canterbury.

Where is the practice located in Canterbury, and is parking available?
The practice is located at Suite 5, Lullingstone House on St Johns Lane in central Canterbury (CT1 2NX). We are a 5-minute walk from Castle Street Car Park, with Canterbury East and the main bus depot nearby. Emma and Lisa provide room-based sessions in Canterbury, alongside secure online therapy across Kent.
What happens during the initial £35 assessment session?
The 45-minute initial assessment (£35) is an unhurried, exploratory conversation, usually held with our lead therapist. Together, you will discuss what brings you to therapy and explore which approach fits your needs, so we can match you with the right practitioner. There is no obligation to commit to ongoing sessions afterwards.
How much does ongoing counselling cost and how often do we meet?
Following your assessment, regular one-to-one therapy sessions cost £60 to £80 for a 50-minute session. Sessions usually take place weekly at a reserved, consistent time. You remain in full control of how long you attend therapy, with no minimum session requirements.
Do you offer walking therapy or online sessions across Kent?
Yes, where appropriate. Outdoor walking sessions in Canterbury can be incorporated into individual therapy for clients who prefer moving rather than sitting indoors. We also provide secure, confidential online video and phone counselling for adults and young people throughout Kent, including Whitstable, Faversham, and Ashford.
